Hello Neighbors and Friends,
I would like to take an opportunity to simply say thank you. Morningside is such a committed community: committed to neighbors, families, businesses and so much more. I appreciate hearing from you about your needs and goals as a community. About what is going well and what might need some more help. We continue to work on many improvement projects together including the Allegheny River Greenway, the proposed overlook along Baker Street, Heth’s Run and the ballfields.
I encourage you to attend our regular Council-to-Go meetings to share your concerns for your community, thoughts for bettering your City, and any specific issues you may be facing with regard to city services. As our usual meeting spot, the Morning Glory Coffeehouse, recently closed, we will be holding the Morningside Council-to-Go in new locations this year.
We hope to see you at one of the upcoming Council-to-Go. If you cannot attend, please do not hesitate to call or email me with your questions and concerns. I can be reached at 412.255.2140 or firstname.lastname@example.org. District 7 staff members Emily, Jennifer and Steve and I are always available to hear and act on your thoughts and concerns.
Thank you again for all you do for your neighborhood and each other.
Councilman Patrick Dowd
