Morningside Baseball News: the under 10 year old boy’s team won two tournaments recently: the Braun Memorial Day tournament and the Lower Burrell 4th of July tournament. There are some baseball champions coming out of the neighborhood!. Congratulations to them and all the businesses who helped sponsor them!
Morningside Baseball Registration
Morningside Baseball Association registration for kids 5-17 is scheduled for January 30 & 31 from 6-9 PM at the VFW and on February 7 & 8 from 5-8 PM at St. Raphael’s. For info email Dee Peluse at dee520@comcast.net.

Morningside Baseball Winter Instructional Program
New this year for all players! The Morningside Baseball Association will be holding several instructional programs for players to get a head start on baseballl season this year. The sessions will be held at the Sharpsburgh Recreation Center, 205 North Canal st., Sharpsburgh, Pa 15215 – (412)860-8249.
These are the dates and times:
Sunday, Jan. 9, 2011 – 2 pm – 4 pm
Sunday, Jan. 16, 2011 – 2 pm – 4pm
Sunday, Jan. 30, 2011 – 2pm – 4 pm
The cost of each session will depend on the number of attendees.

Morningside Baseball Registration
Morningside Baseball Association will hold its annual registration Thursday, Jan. 20th, Friday, Jan. 21th, and Sat., Jan. 11nd, 2011. Registration will be held at the Morningside VFW Hall, 1820 Morningside Ave. from 5PM to 7PM on Thursday and Friday and from 12PM to 2PM on Saturday. There will be a second registration session on Friday, Feb. 18th, 2011 from 5PM to 7PM and Saturday, Feb. 19th, 2011 from 12PM to 3PM. This second registration will beheld in the Multipurpose Room of St. Raphael’s School, 1154 Chislett St.
The fees this year are $75.00 for the 1st child, $90.00 for a family. The fee is $50.00 for one T-Ball player or $75.00 for two or more T-Ball players. Previously registered players will receive a form which can be returned by mail in the enclosed self-addressed envelope.
